RAIL LOGIX, LACASSINE
1st of its kind
The state-of-the-art Rail Logix Lacassine Industrial Park will accommodate 800 Rail Cars (expandable to 2,350+) with more than 250 Rail Car Spots of Interchange Track. The Lacassine Industrial Park is the first of its kind in Southwest Louisiana.

Commercial Airport
The nearest commercial aviation facility is the Lake Charles Regional Airport, 35 miles from the center of Jefferson Davis Parish. It offers air transportation by American Airlines and United Airlines. One and two-stop service is available to most major domestic destinations. The Jennings Airport, with a 5,000-foot runway, and the Welsh Airport, with a 3,000-foot runway, are both located within the parish.

Inland Waterways
Cargo can be delivered and exported via the Intracoastal Waterway and the Mermentau River. Lake Arthur offers another inland water access for the parish.
Shallow Draft Access
The Port of Mermentau, is a 9-ft deep port located 5 miles from Jennings.
Deepwater Ports
The Port of Lake Charles, with a 40-foot depth and 400-foot width is located 25 miles from the Lacassine Industrial Park.

Highways
The main transportation arteries through Jefferson Davis Parish are Interstate 10, U.S. Highways 90, 165, and 190, and numerous Louisiana state highways. The state highways are eight in all: 14, 26, 99, 101, 102, 380, 382, and 395. These highways make the parish’s communities easily accessible to each other and provide an extensive network for all ground transportation needs.
Freight Rail
Three railroad companies serve the two main-line communities of Jefferson Davis Parish: Union Pacific Railway, BNSF, and Southern Pacific Railway. There are numerous sites across the parish and in separate townships with railroad access. The Lacassine Industrial Park has two-mile-long rail spurs.

Water & Sewerage
The water sources for the different parish cities and townships are provided by the individual cities, towns and villages of the parish. Each municipality maintains its own separate sewage system, all of which are also responsible for standard water treatment and purification procedures.
Solid Waste
Jefferson Davis Parish has three separate companies that provide solid waste disposal to all urban areas. Dillon Disposal, Progressive Waste, and Browning Ferris Industries (B.F.I.) serve the parish communities. Jeff Davis Parish owns a regional solid waste disposal facility which offers the possibility of a supply of raw materials necessary for use in the secondary re-manufacturing market.
